Manual SS hold

I have a question to the dealers on here. I switched to a new dealer about a month ago because of some and well they were going to put my 2SS/RS in but they said they couldn't because GM put a restriction on actually putting in that configuration for production. C/D?? I thought it was just a hold on the shipping of them not putting them into the system to be built.

As of last week (and it may change this week), dealers were not able to select the MN6 option. So yes, your dealer was correct.

I have been reading these posts for months now.....and now that I see when the orders were placed, I am so confused. I have seen orders being placed from Apr to July and see that some of these orders have already been received and delivered to customers.....I ordered mine since Nov 14, 2008 and it was just accepted into production on 6/30....???? what's up with that??? anyone know what the deal is??

Yup, allocation. Look at the timelines between jpsuperman's order and mine. It's a crapshoot!

Does this affect those of us that have our order placed already and are at least at 1100 with the M6?

1100 is the very first step and you might be there two weeks or two months or more depending on allocation. If you were at 1100 last week and your order got allocated with an M6 it would not have went in, they were sorting through the possibilty of problems and temporarily put new m6 orders on constraint. It will more than likely be lifted this week if it hasn't been already and if your 1100 order were to then be allocated you would be fine. Once you receive allocation you will move immediately to 2000 then higher, the longest and most varying wait is from 1100 to 2000. Not long for everyone just depends on each dealer. Is that what you were looking for?

The short answer: Yes.

Your order will not be placed while the constraint exists at 100%.

Yeah thanks Jsupes and notaninsider for your info. Hope the constraint gets lifted this week! That would suck if i were skipped on allocation because what i ordered had a constraint on it. That really wouldnt be fair!

Are you asking how long from 2000 till you get it? If so it still varies but roughly 6 to 8 weeks, you will go to 3000 pretty quick after 2000, sometime at 3000 you will get a tpw, target production week, that's usually a month away, assuming the tpw is accurate and no qc hold occurs shipment should take a few weeks maybe less. There are a lot of variables and nothing is 100%.
