GPS Install

I finally completed my GPS install. I initially used the "Tape measure belt clip" technique but it was starting to sag again and moved excessively while driving. I also was tired of the wire hanging in front of my radio and the adapter sticking out of the 12V plug.

I drilled a small hole, cut the cable, and fed it through the dash. I also drilled a small hole in the middle of the mount and installed a screw into the dash insert. I only made these modifications after ascertaining that I could order replacement "45th" inserts and plan on doing so. If the insert still allows too much movement of the GPS, I will remove that screw and install a longer one that will run through the dash itself behind the insert.
