Question 2014 Camaro RS Owner Needs HELP???

Hey guy's, like the opening header states, please explain to me if the 2014 Camaro RS with the LFX Engine and 6L50 Auto Transmission comes with an Open or Limited Slip Differential? The Tag on my Differential say 327 Open! Am in correct in assuming, even though the car has 327 gear ratio, it has an Open Differential, verses a Limited Slip Differential? Any Chevy ASE Certified Techs in here, please chime in! Thanks you!

The tag is correct. The V6/A6 came with an open differential. The V6/M6 and V8s come with limited slip. I think you would have to swap the differential to get limited slip.

I can see how one might be confused... I just bought a 2014 1LT today, and if you compare the trims side by side 2LS vs 1LT vs 2LT on chevy.com it says that the Limited Slip diff is "Standard" on all 2014 LT trim cars, not just available. It is standard on the 1LS, and not available on the 2LS

If you look at the 2013 1LS vs 2ls vs 1lt vs 2lt trims it says that it is "Standard" only on the 1LS, not optional on the 2LS, and that it is optional on the 1/2LT not "Standard" like on the 2014 LT trim cars

But then I just found somewhere else that says "Differential, limited slip (Included and only available with (MN6) 6-speed manual transmission.)"... Their trim comparison thing must be wrong.

You have to own a 2014 Camaro V6 with a (MN6) 6-speed manual transmission to have Limited Slip Differential, as you cannot get it in an A6 Automatic Transmission. Thanks for the info guys! I can live with my Open Differential that I have!
