StainlessWorks Headers & Retro exhaust video

Short and sweet, didn't have much time today but my son and I grabbed the gropro and headed over to a dead-end road to shoot the video.

Enjoy....

The exact setup as I will have soon, thanks for posting! I already have the retro chambered exhaust installed, just got the headers and high flow cats a couple of days ago. Now I know what to expect for sound. Sounds great!!!

Thanks gents...
We will make a few more videos with in cabin noise levels using a DB meter. As well as any drone levels VS RPM cruise speeds.
There are a few cruise speed RPM ranges that are a bit concerning to us, but we have a few ideas to possibly help in these areas... NOTE: these ideas are already stated elsewhere we just want to try and put them to the test with this exhaust system in the real world.

We plan on keeping this thread as a base for all info and facts found with this exhaust combo.
So if anyone has any questions that we could help answer please just ask and we will do our best to supply photos, video & notes to help further the C5 knowledge base on this exhaust combo.

Chase, thanks for making the purchase easy and straight forward, you make giving money to others pretty simple....
It's an easy +1 for APEX from us so far....

Bummer, I thought you were gonna do a killer burn out at the end of the video when you revved it up! Sounds great!

That did come to mind... but the blacktop on that dead-end road was pretty old and coming apart, so I didn't want to pelt my kid with rocks
We will have more videos coming up, and there will definitely be a sweet burnout video.... In my book you cant own a V8 manual car and not have at-least one sweet burnout video!

Correct! 1 7/8" headers to 3" collectors....
This exhaust has dropped my fuel mileage... cant seem to keep my right foot out of it....

Sound Nice! This is one of my favorite sounding exhaust. I thought it was drone free are you saying you have some drone?

I'm not one to jump to conclusions, so we are doing some testing using a few "audio" tools to be 100% sure.

Currently we have a few concerns at cruse RPM ranges between 1700-2200 under light load in 4th, 5th & 6th.
These areas are the most common areas we find ourselves in when just cruising around light footed or on the freeway.
So it has been pretty high on our list to figure out.

I'm still trying to get a hold of the guys over at Stainless works to see if they can help us with an idea we have, or better yet possibly just tell us what we might of done wrong on the install.

We plan on recording all the data we find along the way and posting up videos for everyone to see.

Truly this exhaust is LOUD when you are in the throttle. Scares un-expecting people As you can see/hear in the video at WOT the car can be heard for quite some distance & at a level like the car is still right next to you.
WOT sounds amazing in car and at the rear of the car, its a true "modern" muscle sound, not a deep old school Lion rumble, but more of a sweet panther growl right before getting attacked.

On the other hand, at stop lights idling the car has a nice purr. You can tell the exhaust is not the same as other Camaros, but you are not sure if its custom or if you are just finally hearing the sound of a modern V8 Camaro & not the V6..

All in all we are confident we made the right choice in exhaust, we now just need to put our "custom tweak" on it and make it our own...

More info to follow... Stay tuned.... ( No pun intended )
