300k for a 5.0????
Did I just witness someone buy a 2015 5.0 for 300k?...granted it's vin 1... but it's a mass produced car... you sir.. The bidder just acquired about 275k in negative equity!! There's nothing different from the previous generation other than they somehow successfully made the ass end worse.....

It was a charity fund auction so the money went JDRF, Juvenille Diabetes Research Fund.

The charity is fine... but me... I couldn't see myself buying that for that price tag. The z28 is different just because it's not gonna be a mass produced car and the COPO is what it is.

I believe the winning bidder was more concerned about donating what he had set in his mind for the JDRF fund than in overpaying for a production car. There's a lot of pressure I believe when you're on the spot like that with the auctioneer's on you and Television in your face.

But again, only if it was a drop in the bucket to me. I'm sure the gentlemen who bought the car was very wealthy and not mortgaging his house over it.

The first 5th Gen Camaro sold for $350,000 back in 2009.

If I had 650k It would not be either... They are still a Camaro and a Mustang.. at a stop light youll see a guy in the same car.look over .. tell him what you paid.. . and he'll be laughing at your "but it's vin # 1 response"...
ummmm Id rather not have the fist release of anything.. it still a production car that will have issues.. |
