ANYONE READY TO DRIVE THE DRAGON

"Tail of the Dragon"at the Tennessee/North Carolina state line. World famous 11 miles 318 curves.People travel in small groups (2 and 3 cars)and have a blast. I'm usually the only 2010 up there. Like to get a great shot of you and your car from Killboy.com of Zee foto carving the mountain, here's your chance. Believe me when I tell you, this is what the 2010 was built for.
Paddle shifting or 6spd manual required.

Where you hiding that IOM, Indian Trail is a small town. I can't wait to see orange in person and I can't wait to get my yellow.

Been up there a few times on the bike. As much as I'd like to have a killboy shot in the cammy I ain't takin her up there. I'd sure hate to go to jail for driving someone's crotch-rocket up their a** for running up on me around a blind curve. Doesnt sound like fun on a saturday night to me. That's too bad too, killboy does great work. :(

Not to mention the beautiful scenery. We rode up through Tellico to the hatchery on our bikes today. Breathtaking. Cherohala is gorgeous too (of course) and so is Foothills Parkway. All pretty close to one another. Ocoee is another nice ride, but it's a little farther south.

Steve Moore Chevrolet
South Blvd
Charlotte
AKA: Diamond Chevrolet

Fantastic staff to deal with. bought at MSRP.
Car delivered with Black Hockey stripe/ground effects kits.
I wanted neither and they backed them out of the deal.
Thought that was very generous on their part.

I took mine through there 1 time about a week after I got her! It was a blast but bought had 2 different bikes hit me so don't plan on making anymore trips up there. Even though it's only bought 15 min drive there. But had to make the trip at least once

I have been on the lookout for a trip there. I heard about it from some of my biker buddies, but had some anxiety over doing it on the bike...any trips planned?

Heres a good site I used to check every now and then when I use to ride sportbikes up and around that area. Just watch the bikes, the fuzz, the road, and the trucks. www.tailofthedragon.com. It really is nice and beautiful up there, really a fun ride.

Depending on the style of bike and helmet you wear, just watch out for the State Troopers. I went up there a few months ago and got a ticket for not wearing an approved helmet. They are real picky there and want you to wear a DOT Approved helmet...

We have a road in upstate NY named route 8 that runs through the Adirondack Park that is like that. It has a lot of hairpin turns and ups-n-downs. I took a ride on it last September and it was a blast! While the Camaro held the road great I too had to carefully watch the people coming the other way as they were not holding as well.

I'd love to run the Dragon. I read an article about "Run through the Hills" and a big Camaro event last September. Anyone know when/if they're doing it this September?

Ran it with my Triumph Speedmaster back in 2006. I had a blast but the wife was not impressed. Cherahola Skyway and the Blueridge Parkway were awesome for the views and the changes in elevation. I did see a trike wreck running Deal's Gap, was pretty nasty.
