Camaro vs. School Bus (pic heavy)
So I get to start off my Monday on my usual drive to work. I am stopped at a red light with many other cars and just as the light turns green and people start moving I look in the rear view and see headlights closing fast. Needless to say a second later those headlights failed to stop and hit me. After the impact I gather myself and notice that I got hit by a school bus. I feared the worst that it was full of kids, so I went back and luckily it was only the driver and one kid and they were both OK. She said she looked down for a second and looked up and it was too late. She swerved but still caught the right rear with the left front of the bus. Important thing is that all parties involved were OK. Just thankful there weren't more kids on that bus...
Photos for those brave enough to look. All in all I think it held up well. it even gave that bus a kick back. The deputy at the scene said she said she was doing 46 when she looked up & saw me. He estimated she was doing around 42 when she hit me. She didn't have time to lock up the brakes, she just swerved.

"looked away for a sec" brilliant.. in charge of someone else's kid, but hey I only looked away for a sec..

That sucks. At least no one was hurt. I like your attitude on this instead of flipping out you gathered yourself and made sure everyone was OK. Hats off to you.

First off, I'm glad you and everyone involved are ok. Second, I wonder if there's any frame damage to your car from such a hard hit...I do not see that any airbags deployed which is surprising.

Glad everyone's OK. Not many folks get to tell the story after something like that. I know a guy that went through the back window of his vehicle after being rear-ended by a bus- the seat in his pickup truck broke. And then the seatbelt- still attached to the broken seat back and him, yanked him back inside. Yowch.

How is this possible??? The bus driver had to be looking down at their phone. You should have the school district look over the in-bus camera footage to determine the cause of the crash. Not only that, bus driver should get their license suspended.
