cam suggestion or tips need help

Hey guys i recently been doing some research on camshafts for my LS3 camaro SS the only thing im not sure what to pick ether go with texas speed and get there cam and head package or with futural but i just want to get the most out of the cam im getting for my car i was hoping if i can get it to 480 or 500 with bolt ons and heads and cam and a tune also. can you let me know how much RWHP you got with this simple set up i will appreciate it so any tips or help i can get im really open to any suggestions

Going to take a healthy cam to get that kind of power. I like the night fury personally, and thats what I went with.

ive heard of that cam how much hp did you get with that set up? Also what are the specs on the cam you got

I havent put it in yet, just got all my parts in and have to pick up fluids first. That cam does 480 in manual cars and 460 in auto cars typically with stock heads. Its in the 23x's/24x's 6xx's lift. It was either the nightfury or PCM 545, I decided on the night fury since its more aggressive and thats what I was looking for.

GPI and their SS3 LS3 cam made 498 on stock heads and intake (Mudflaps car) might be one to consider to net your goals.

Will do, going to be a few weeks since I have to make a few trips out of town and have work stuff going on. I expect to be in the 470-480 range since I put down 410 with headers and intake untuned

Holy shit 498 dam that is sweet do you know how i can get ahold of him. this my be the guy to talk to to reach my true goal of reaching 500 hp

dam thats really good last time i put my car on the dyno it was bone stock i got a 378 i was kinda bumed about it but got over it since i knew that to get more hp on the ls power cars was to cam them that really wakes them up so im hoping with the mods i got i can get a good number

I agree on the gpi cam, if I had an auto I would have used one of their cams

He has LS3 cams too, Mudflap made 498 with his LS3. If you want a more aggressive cam the LS3 SS4 will net you over 500rwhp

Sorry, Yes Rhino79 is your guy. I used Mudflap's build thread for the dyno sheet.
