2012 Camaro v6 vs Mazdaspeed3

So my friend has a 2011 Mazdaspeed3 with a cold air intake, axle-back exhaust and a rear motor mount. I have a cold air intake and a axle-back and an automatic. What are the thoughts of against each other. Who would win?

Its the motor mounts. On those cars you beef them up to cure wheel hop.

If he can launch and shift, he should win. He has a 400 LB weight advantage.

So basically from a dig he would win if he sifted right. So you think that the mods we have would cancel each other out and he would just still have the 400 LB weight advantage? What do you think about from a roll?

Don't know about a roll, the speed 3 still has almost 300 HP.

I raced against a Mazdaspeed 3 twice, this is what happens when they miss a shift:



This is when they hit the shift:


Those are from when I had headers, intake, exhaust, tune. Think he had an intercooler upgrade and tune.

Thanks bro for the videos! It helps me get a perspective of whats going to happen. Hopefully I can keep up with him in the 1/8 cause thats what we have here. I don't know but well see I'll keep my hopes high. Oh and also how much horsepower and torque where you pushing with those mods.

Mazdaspeed3 is a bad-ass car, I had two myself!

Prior fully bolted MS3 owner here.

Speed 3 shines from a roll. My money is on the 3.
The 3 isn't geared well for drag racing. They also have wheel hop and traction issues.

We'll if its not geared well for drag racing it mite be a closer race then on the strip.

Took one in my intake/cut out 6mt. It was certainly a faster car but they are very hard to launch. I think from a dig youll get him. A roll he will walk you.
