how to tell 1ss vs 2ss visually?
Is there a way of telling the difference from a 1ss to a 2ss without looking inside of the car?

Nope. The differences are all internal, leather, guages, steering wheel controls, door sill plates etc...

the SS is red on 2SS and white on 1SS.

Wrong, the SS badge is white on 1SS and 2SS, unless you have the RS package as well. SS + RS = Red badging.

the SS is only Red with the RS package, dont make that mistake :P
