rattle sound in front when in a certain rev and when warm

I was driving my 2010 V6 Camaro ls fast one day, (like I should) and I reved it high near 6000 rpm, and now I have a rattle sound coming from the front when I give it moderate gas. it usually starts around 2000 rpm and continues to rattle when I slowly go up in rpm, but seems to dim when I give it a lot of gas. it only happens when it is warmed up and everything is nice and loose im guessing.

I have been told it could be a loose heat shield or muffler, but I was just told it could also be a loose wrist pin but he is not sure since he is not familiar with the new Camaros. he is a Chevy guy and mechanic but it was not at a shop so he could not do a full inspection. the rattle is more pronounced when there is load on the engine, (driving) but it is not easy to make when I am parked and reving. is there any known occurrences of wrist pins coming loose? it does not sound like a rod knock also. the engine still drives and feels the same, it just has that annoying rattle sound when driving slow and moderate.

When I first got mine I noticed a slight rattle coming from the front which did not sound engine related. Upon further investigation I realized that the hood stops were not even and allowed the hood to have play when latched. I adjusted the stops to make the hood even with the quarter panels when closed and the problem is gone!

Try putting car on jack stands. With a large RUBBER hammer slide under car and starting with the cats lightly hitting them. Continue down the line hitting all cats, resinators, muffler. Shake the exhaust system to fine rattling heat shields.

When GM went to floating wrist pins, this system is bullet proof. I do not think this is your noise.

I was thinking the same thing which made me question the mechanic. I figured he didnt know that these camaros ran with floating wrist pins even when i told him so, he didnt really care what i had to say since he is the mechanic, not I
