Difference in performance between X-pipes ????
What is the difference between a offroad Xpipe and a Catted Xpipe performance wise ?
I know the Offroad is not street legal and the catted has highflow cats...........high flow or not the offroad Xpipe is just pipe. How much of a difference in performance does that offroad give you over the highflow ? I'm sure the offroad along with headers and maybe borla or corsa would sound mean as hell compared to someone with cats. I know I know you have to get it inspected......its not hard here in TEXAS lol to find someone to do that. |

Yeah the offroad X pipe is going to have no cats at all. Obviously the O/R is going to flow better then the catted one. But unless you have some kind of forced induction there is really going to be no pros for one vs the other. The only real difference is going to be the sound.

I've been curious about this too, but mainly just replacing the factory H pipe with a good X pipe.

For an X pipe vs H pipe the only real difference again is just flow. It is obviously easier to balance the flow through an X then through an H. Hp from one vs the other is really going to be nill. The X pipe is going to be louder especially if it is catless. An H pipe is going to have more gurgle and pop on the overrun.
