Third factory wheel for the 2014 ZL1

Maybe this has been covered, if it has I'm sorry but just noticed that there is now a third factory wheel for the ZL1. It's the silver wheel painted black. If I remember right it was on the Caron Fiber Ed at the Detroit car show in 2012, the car that never made it to production. There is a pic of it in the Build Your Car for the 2014 ZL1 on Chevy.com. Maybe they will come out with the CFE Zl1 for 2015. Something special for the last year of the Gen 5 ZL1.

It's an accessory wheel , you order it with the car, and then you end up with your stock wheels and then these wheels, you're better off just getting the wheels from parts if your dealer will give you a discount

I think I will "plastic dip" my wheels this way when it warms up. If I really like it then I can powder coat them.

They'll have to grow on me, but it's nice to have a 3rd option.

I ordered these as part of my build. One of the guys posted on my post back in Jan...a link of these wheels in motion. They look great!

I'm still holding on to hope they'll release the silver ten-spoke wheels they put on the pace cars (fingers crossed)

Its sharp but pricey. Its a bit much for a painted zl wheel imo; I hope they may do something with the ssx wheel. I may spring for an oem polished ssx wheel if it ever happens.

That would be really sharp. I also think that the stock black ten spoke would be sharp if it were done in black chrome. I would like to find a set that is off a wrecked one and have it done but I don't want to do it to the wheels that came on my car. I want to keep the stock wheels.

Nice looking wheels, you could make your own out of the 1LE or ZL1 wheels just by parking along the curbs a little more aggressively

^Years ago I probably would buy a stand alone set of OEM wheels and have them polished. Nowadays its rare and difficult for me to spend a wad of cash on car goodies.

Same here.

It's really ironic that a factory wheel would be so highly prized as the Zl1/1LE wheels are. Seems like it wasn't that long ago that you couldn't wait to get the factory wheels on your new ride replaced with something aftermarket.
