HID Halo headlamp replacement kit? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a 2SS and want the HID Halo headlamp kit. Does anyone know what is involved in this replacement. Is it just a plug in kit or do I have to replace all the wiring of the originals? I have seen other aftermarket kits that have the ballast box that basically just plug in to your harness and is very easy but I can't find anyone who really knows about the factory kit as I want everything original. Thanks.

If you have a non RS car and want to add factory HID's its almost impossible, there are a lot of things to change and its really costly too, you are better off waiting for and aftermarket kit to be available.

im in the same boat. my car was supposed to be an RS but it didnt get built as one. i was thinking about getting the HID housings from GM. then putting in aftermarket HIDs and wiring in the halos to the parking lights. anyone else think this is OK?

There was a tread on this i know a couple weeks back and if i remember correctly it was going to be 800 a light to get all the parts and brackets you needed. Thats why i opted to go ahead and get the rs package

I checked out all parts and prices and it is going to be basically $1200 just for parts. What exactly comes with the RS Package and does anyone have a part number for the RS package where I could order that package alone? Thanks

When the parts become available thru GMPP, then it will be a fairly easy swap.... it will be expensive! I plan on wiring them (Halo rings) into the fog light switch!
