Lowering springs, which ones???
Like the topic says. I'll be honest, it's been years since I've owned a car with springs and I'm looking to lower the stance. What springs should I get and which springs should I stay away from. I'd like to get a nice lower stance and sits even front/rear. What everyone is running? Please post pics if ya got them.
Thanks, Tony 2014 RR ZL1 |

well just FYI phadt and pedders just had issues and closed down so if you want either of them inventory on the ground might be all you can get.
BMR and eibach still have some I think.

BMR offers 1.0" & 1.4" drop spring sets, just depends on how low you wanna go!!! And our springs have a lifetime warranty against sag issues. Plus this......

I just ordered my BMR Kit of 1.4" and got them in 4 days. Can't wait to put them on the car, and with BMR's discount for Camaro5 guys you can't beat it.

Will do. It'll be a few weeks though because of the stupid Chicago weather.

I used Hotchkis springs on my car. They are the 1" springs on the SS, which only brings the Z down 1/2" up front and 1/4" in the rear. They ride amazing.

BTW, I just purchased a set of Eibach lowering springs. I have been going back on forth on this, but finally decided I had Eibach lowering springs in my; Viper GTS, WS6 T/A, Impala SS and Sti and they have never let me down. Great stance and great ride. Will report back too when installed.

For those who have lowering springs...How is the ride? I usually have my ride in Tour and when I put it in Sport, I can feel the difference right away. Is it as bouncy as Sport mode?

It will still be there. I can feel the changes in the paving of the road, but that's exactly what I wanted and needed in order to feel the characteristics of the car's suspension when driven hard thru corners. I am the sole owner and driver of my car so there is no issue. I have lowered almost all of my vehicles. The only time I use tour is when my GF is in the car with me.

Did anyone have problems with the mag ride clip/wire? Or does it not play a role with changing springs?
