Need input: Radiator Fan harness connector melted

Looking for info about problems with 2010/2011 Radiator fan wiring harness connector failures (burnt/melted). The fans work fine and no fuses burnt, and no fuses ever changed to higher amps either.

Here's the dilemma...... in 2012 or 2013 the harness and fans changed. The 2010/2011 harness is a flat connector at the top of the radiator with black fans, the 2012/2013 is a square connector with white fans. In order to get a new harness, it has to be ordered with the drivers side fan since it is hardwired into the fan, but has a connector for the passenger side.

Who has experienced this problem and does anyone know if the newer fans/harness are an actual improvement or could it be simply that Chevrolet changed manufacturers for cost and/or production reasons?

The other option is upgrade to the Ron Davis dual pass radiator that comes with fans.

Looks like all you need to do is replace the connectors. You can use any four wire connector. They don't have to be factory connectors. Any wiring guy should have some that they can replace these with. Or call Casper Electronics and ask them to send you replacement connectors. Speak with Brandon.

Thank for the info. I may have to lengthen the wiring since there's basically zero slack.
