Big Worm Tail Light Tint
So I ordered the Big Worm tail light tint, great stuff, great customer service, and great company overall. However, I totally screwed it up and it's because of my own mistakes. But does anybody know of tint for 2014 where it is a film, not a rubbery vinyl, I feel that I will just screw up again with the vinyl.

They key with these is like what Comrando said you NEED to use soapy water and a heat gun/hair dryer or it will be a disaster, just squeegee center out and in no time youll have them looking professional. And it will last much longer than a thin film, I have those for my emblems and trunk lid and am not very happy with them, tear very easy.

Tint is WAY more delicate to work with. After I'd done my taillights, a buddy of mine asked to help him with his Honda Accord. His were made of tint and he tore both of them just taking them off of the backing, so we didn't get very far with it.

I seemed to get water trapped under the film, and due to it being so thick it would not come out and just wrinkled the film.

I screwed the first light, so now waiting for either a video from BigWorm on installing on the 2014, or to remove the lights from the car and work it on a bench. Another member did this and looked like it worked best. |

I installed mine today. Pay attention to the video because mine started going south, but I remembered what he said, use a little heat on it to help form it to the edges and get the bubbles out. Kind of fan the heat gun, not too hot, just warm to the touch.

I tried using the heat gun but know matter what I did the middle curves of the light will not accept the tint adhering to it. I was forced to cut the inside corners of the tint to get them to stay.

I ordered the Big Worm tint (Gun Smoke) for my headlights and taillights too. I am expecting them sometime this week! I am super excited, but now I am nervous about the installation. If anyone has further advice, please post it here! I am trying to learn everything I can before I try to do this, because I have never worked with vinyl before!

One question... will I pass inspection with these?
