Paint matching or fade?

Hey guys, do you think I should blend my hood and fenders? Or will a detail bring out the older color. I put on this bumper about 3 months ago and this is a 2011 LS. Also, what is the rough cost for a blend on metallics? Some pics below:

Yes blend. I just had some slight bodywork done on the same color and I can't tell any work was done at all. Can't tell a difference in paint at all because they blended

Polishing won't make the two colors match.
IMO that is a horrible paint match.
I would send it back, it's way off.

Sometimes it looks fine, other times in the sun it looks way off to me

It shouldn't be that far off.
It shouldn't be off at all IMO, but some will argue with the difference in materials it's inevitable. But the great painters will say they can Butt Match it and make it look good.
That's who I would look for.
It looks like there is to much Blue in it to me.

cyber gray car with an ashen gray front, blending isn't gonna fix that. it's two different colors entirely.

Yeah, I tried to not let it bug me but I figured I would ask C5 because I know I am not the only anal one.

I gave him the CGM color code specifically stating that it is not AGM..

This exact reason is why I decided to not buy that bumper pre-painted. It's way off. In case it was taken the wrong way, when I said I had mine blended I mean they painted it and blended the panel into the others. Sorry but without getting it repainted and blended it's just not going to look good.

That bumper is way to off color to blend. It has to sprayed the right color and then it can be blended to rest of the car.

Agreed that bumper would drive me completely crazy! Definately need a repaint. And no polishing won't change color. When you polish you aren't touching the base paint, you are simply correcting the clear coat.

I had/have the same issue with my bumper cover and quarter panel. Two different materials sometimes do that, but yours is way off. I'd be sending it back.

Send it back and have it resprayed. If it back way off color then have them send a new painted bumper. I might come a little off color because it very rare that the paint will match exactly. I worked in the paint repair when i worked for Gm. The cyber gray and any other gray is one of the hardest paint to match.
