The ad states extended factory bumper to bumper warranty till 69000miles. The mods may have voided the warranty all together. You should cancel it and get any remaining $'s from it and lower your asking price. It's a buyers market right now, your mods voided the warranty and your price seems high to me. Sorry to sound like Donny downer, just giving you my honest opinion. I say get the kid a $5000 car and keep the ZL1.

You're gonna lose money on your ZL1. Your asking price is too high and the extensive engine modifications with a possible voided warranty would scare most buyers away. I would keep the ZL1 and find another way to help your son obtain his first car.

Im going to have to agree with the price being too high, if you want to sell it. Your going to need to be thousands less than asking price. I have similiar mods and if i sold i wouldn't expect over 53

This. Most of the factory warranty is long gone now. If anything drivetrain related breaks, GM won't warranty it.

Modifications do not help the value much, if any. I lost $23K when I sold my 02 Camaro SS. I picked up my '12 ZL1 with 677 miles for a little over $45,000.

Internal modifications to the motor are going to kill the resale value of your car. I made the mistake with my SS of going internal and I not only lost all of my mod money but I had to sell the car for thousands less than what I would have gotten with it bone stock. Bad scenario but maybe you will be the exception to the rule.

Might help to post some dyno graphs.

What is the HP to the ground?

I agree with some of the folks here. Get your boy some decent transportation now and tell him when he has enough incentive to make half of the money (10% down payment in savings & he gets a loan for the rest of his half) to buy his dream car and some experience at driving, then you'll help him get what he wants. That way he will learn much more and maybe not wreck it.

We're both brutally honest, and trying best to keep all the facts as correct as possible.
