2014 SS Increased Brake Dust Build-Up?

Hey guys, thought I'd bring this to your attention and see if I could get some feedback.

2014 Camaro 2SS L99. It only has 1200 miles on it. Well, I get new catback exhaust installed and my guy at the shop tells me, "I noticed your have a whole lot of brake dust build-up. You may want to consider changing out your rotors and pads." I told him I'd consider it but for now, I'm content with cleaning it once a week.

Unfortunately, I'm in stop n go traffic 5 days a week. My understanding is that there are supposed to be Brembo brakes but it's not the complete kit.

Now, I've only done a CAI and Borla ATAK exhaust upgrades so far. I really don't want to sink any more money into it at the moment.

How pressing is this brake upgrade or is this guy just trying to take me- which I don't think so. He seems like a genuinely good guy (haha). I will admit there was more brake dust than normal.

It's normal, the Brembo's give off a TON of dust. If it bothers you change to hawk ceramic pads, no need to change the rotors. Other then being dusty the OEM pads/rotos will give you the best stopping power and are excellent quality.
