K&N Cold Air Intake model 63-3079

Does anyone have any feedback on this model? Is it worth it?

I got it for around $600. I wanted the carbon fiber look and after adding all of the pieces together for the dipped cold air, the price was close to the K&N. There are a lot of nice cold air intakes out there. If you don't care about the carbon fiber, get the other brands.

With what ever cold air intake you get, get the ported throttle body at the same time. Easy to change it all out at once.

ported vmax from JDP is a must when changing intakes. Easiest two mods

hey now,

i have it on my car (previous owner installed) and it looks great. here is a thread on it http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=272954

i believe the roto fab is the more popular of the 2. for me it would come down to the better price of the 2 kits.

the claim is 30 hp or so which is not hard to believe on a 600 hp engine.

It is a good system but I prefer the Roto-Fab system myself. We get a little more HP from the Roto-Fab and it is a better value IMHO. We get 25-30 RWHP with the Roto-Fab and another 10+ with the VMAX. They are both simple bolt-ons that don't require tuning.

it all comes down to cost IMO. you either wan't to pay the premium for the carbon or you don't.

I didn't as I could give to sh$ts about the looks under my hood and got the rotofab but the other $230 towards other power mods.

some like it and pay the premium.

Got mine for under $500 back when they first game out. 20K miles later and I still love it.
