I took my SS out of storage one day and got caught in the snow and ice. TBH it was like a skateboard on ice. I choose to get a winter vehicle.

with the right tires, Camaro's aren't bad in up to a couple inches of snow... much more than that and they turn into snow plows.

Wouldn't even take it out of the garage on the stock Pzero's though... they call them Max Summer tires for a reason.

I usually store mine around November and around that time when its about 30 degrees or so the PZero does not stick to the ground very well.

drove mine for a day in the snow when my truck was broken down and with the manual it was not the best. i put 500-1000km on a day for work driving in all types of weather and by the end of the day driving my car i basiacally had decided it was not a great idea.

That being said, with good tires and a steady foot anything is possible

i would just suggest winter tires.

Where i live theres 5-6 Gen5's that i know of that drive year around and we get some pretty heavy winters

I'm just trying to figure out how to make this work. I have a '97 Z28 that I store in winters but I'd like to get a gen 5 and get back down to 2 vehicles. Mine and my wifes.
I did drive my Z28 in the winter for about 8 years so I wonder how much worse than that it could be.

The car does fine in the snow. Pay very little attention to the posts you see here about it being worthless in the snow and try it for yourself.

As with all driving, the conditions dictate how and if you should drive. It is not AWD. Like any vehicle, the icier the conditions the more dangerous it is to drive but a seasoned driver with RWD experience should not encounter significant difficulty driving a C5 in snow.

Everyone's situation is unique. If you're a firefighter or emergency personnel of some sort that is required to report to duty no matter the conditions, the Camaro probably should not be your go to vehicle. If you are afforded the luxury of deciding if and when you drive in hazardous whether, it very well could fit your needs.

I did the stock tires through winter in Chicago, useless with snow, beyond that they worked just fine.

I have 409 RWHP on a mustang dyno, and stock tires.
I had to drive in the snow twice this winter.
It was not easy, but it was doable, but just barely.
It was worse when the car and tires had not warmed up at all.

At least 6 months away! Wooooooo! Definitely should have a winter tire setup if you must drive in the snow.

Mine is a daily driver, so I've driven it through 4 winters in Pennsylvania. As stated, get winter tires (or all-seasons), and it does fine. Sometimes I need to turn off traction control and start in 2nd gear, but I only got stuck once in 4 years.
