INTRODUCING... Custom grilles 2014 SS 1LE

Got it done this morning after a lot of planning for this build. Michael at RaceMesh grilles did a fabulous job in customizing a special grill for the 2014 Camaro. It took us roughly one hour to pull the front bumper off and remove the hood extractor piece to install the fabricated pieces. This is all hand done made in America. No cutting or drilling he uses all the OEM bumper inserts and builds off them.

My car was a beta tester for fabrication and there are many options available for material. This particular mesh is chrome black square. I can put anyone in contact with Michael for more information

Here is the before and after pics . Proud to bring some very nice crafted pieces to my 5th gen makes a very unique look.

Looks great but I would be a little concerned on the air flow. Chevy went to great lengths to get the maximum air flow through the grill and out the extractor. I would think that you might have reduced that by almost half ??
Be careful of overheating.

Then again, I've been wrong before, and will again !!

Thank you very much! We are located in Contra Costa area not far from you Bravo 2ss. I don't believe this will hinder airflow as this is actually less restrictive than the OEM solid grill work. Less the bowtie and the SS emblem would create more of the Z/28 "Flowtie" effect. The extractor is still the same just removed the factory plastic "mesh" and laid in the wire. The metal mesh also seemed to take the flimse out and add a bit of rigidity to the bumper to me. Again these were the OEM inserts just laid with mesh very easy and no drilling/cutting DIRECT fitment!

If NASA would like to do a courtesy air flow test for me Id love to prove the theory haha!

That's pretty sweet! It doesn't look like they make one for the ZL1 grill though.

I smell a lot of dough heading that companies way. Hopefully they bring it to market before other companies make their own version. Looks badass

Yeah, I'm familiar with that one, but I'm not a fan of the look or the price. A version like this though would be great!

If he built it they will come haha

He would be very interested in doing a ZL1. I would recommend contacting him directly for that. Basically he bought all the OEM bumper inserts from the dealer and then meshed it, brought my car to him and we did the swaperoo. Now that hes done one and typically all 5th gen bumpers come off in 30 minutes they are very similar. Its definitely a cut above the rest very good quality. ZL1 would look just downright nasty with the mesh IMO Id love to see the outcome!

I like the style and would be interested but I'd want to keep my bowtie and SS emblems....or maybe have just the red SS in the center. Is that an option?

Any customization is possible not to mention all the different types of material to use for endless options. I would recommend to email him with new ideas as my choice was this style.
