So the light on my 2013 door panel went out. Is there any way I can fix this myself? I'm in Italy now so the list of trustworthy dealers slash mechanics is very small.

Pull the door panel and check the wiring.

Typically it's the single LED that is the problem whether it's a connection or burned out, I've only seen one go bad so far.

I tried to copy/paste the repair instructions but I can't get the pictures to appear and the instructions are pretty useless without them, sorry.

Josh, here are the instructions on how to remove the door trim panel and how to remove the light pipe. I'm not sure you will need to remove the light pipe, the LED plugs into the end of the light pipe and is available in two colors for that year, red/orange and blue. Good Luck.

Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement

Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Callout
Component Name
Preliminary Procedure
Remove the radio front side door upper speaker grille. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Upper Speaker Grille Replacement.

Front Side Door Inside Handle Bolt Finish Cap
Procedure
Use a small flat bladed tool at the front edge of the cover to aid in removal.

Front Side Door Trim Fastener (Qty: 4)
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.

Tighten
2 Y (18 lb in)

Front Side Door Pull Cup Fastener
Procedure
Remove the front side pull cup liner to access the fastener.
Tighten
2 Y (18 lb in)

Front Side Door Trim Panel
Procedure

Use a door trim tool or equivalent to aid in the removal of the door trim.
Disconnect the inside handle release cable from the trim panel.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Transfer parts as required.

Disconnect both ends of lamp from the light pipe.
Disconnect wire from eight integral clips.
