TPMS sensor compatibility with dragwheels/skinnies?
I just bought a set of Race Star Industries 94 Super Star 17x4.5 skinnies for the front of my car. Planning on running the M&H ROD11R tires 26" tall radials...
I'm planning on leaving my drag wheel setup on the car most/all of the summer. Just wondering if I can run the TPMS sensors in these wheels? I'd rather not be staring at the waring light all the time if I don't have to. In all of the threads I've read with people running Race Star / Weld RTS, etc drag wheels, I've never seen mentioning of the compatibility of the TPMS sensors with drag race type wheels. Is it an issue? |

I made a PVC tube with a shrader valve and just put the sensors in them with 32 psi stashed in glove box when I run my drag radials.

See Blazin1"s post in the Wheels section on Weld skinnies...
"Yes, I'm running TPMS in all four. I just had to flip the sensor itself upside down and it fit fine." Maybe this will work with Race Star too. |

Yes, I run TPMS sensors in my Weld RT-S 17's. Just had to flip the sensor upside down on the Schrader Valve and it worked perfectly. You may not have to do that on yours, it all depends on the angle that the Schrader valve is mounted to the wheel.
