Why wouldn't you get the RS package?!

Just like the title suggests - I see wonderful cars driving around without the RS package and I wonder why not? For those who didn't get it, what was your reasoning? Just wondering (You're car is still awesome with our without the package btw!!)

I did not get the RS package due to the summer-only tires that came with it. However, the "all-season" tires GM used sucked in the winter, so I ended up getting winter tires and wheels anyway. You know what they say, hindsight is 20/20. The only thing I kinda miss is the halo headlights. I added the spoiler a year later.

I initially didn't want it but it ended up I got it and now looking at the car and living with it for a little over a year I'm glad I did. It adds some nice touches that make the car "more complete" well at least to me.

I don't like the taillights and I don't like the chrome strip on the front.

Sent from somewhere on the road.

Didn't like the chrome strip. Don't care about hid lights as I rarely drive it a night and it's $1300 I put towards headers and a cam

I didn't see $1300 worth it for HID head lights and the RS Wheels in the midnight silver paint looks dirty to me "as in covered with brake dust already", My badges are deleted anyways. And everyone else has the RS, I like to be different

I bought mine used so I didn't really have a choice. :( But Camaro's look killer with the halos and I'm thinking about finding some RS headlights for mine.

Didn't care about any of what it has to offer and dislike the halos. It's a BMW thing to me. SS was the only package that mattered to me.

The RS package contents have changed through the years, but for the 2012 model year, the RS package would've given me:
  • HID headlights w/halos
  • 20" wheels with staggered sized, summer only tires
  • Body colored roof ditch molding
The only thing out of those that I really wanted was the HIDs/halos. Didn't want summer only tires, and didn't want staggered sizes--prefer a square setup that I can rotate. Also, the 20" wheels come with lower profile tires, which I also didn't want. Like a little more sidewall to deal with the potholes around here.

I plan to add the HIDs/halos myself.

I didn't get the RS package because I was only 20 when I bought the car with no credit. But I just put my new wheels on and I just bought the RS headlights that I'm in LOVE with! RS package definitely gives the car a meaner look!

I wanted a camaro and manual transmission, A/C, power locks and windows etc are just bonuses. Ok A/C is kinda a necessity.

RS = chrome strip above grill = not good to my eyes.
Non RS tailights > RS tailights (don't like the extra white in the lenses).
My 14' 1LE already has awesome wheels, so no gain with the RS package there.
HID's are nice, but Halo's are too gimmicky to me (maybe I'm too old school).
The non RS 1LE just looks meaner to me.
So for me the only benefit was the HID's. And they don't out weigh the visual negatives of the RS package in my opinion.

Didn't have the RS as an option on the LS, had to stay with V6 for the gas and insurance costs and didn't see the point of getting an LT(only differences are a few minor creature comforts that are meaningless to me). Added my own HIDs with RGB Halos for a lot less than the cost of the RS package, plus I would have had to add the cost of the jump to an LT to even have the option for the RS package, so another 2 grand minimum along with the RS package price(so almost 4 grand). Completely unjustifiable cost since HIDs and halos were the only two things I would have wanted from the RS package. I prefer the non staggered wheels and all season tires, and with a black car the roof ditch molding blends in anyways.
