New 2014 1LE...A/C problems.

Bought my new 2014 1LE about 6-7 weeks ago. 2 weeks after I had it, the AC went. Replaced the compressor and a valve on the high pressure side. Went to drive it this weekend, once again no AC. Just blows hot air again. At the dealer now, first time they had it for 3 days. Who knows this time? Has anyone else had these problem with their AC ????

I know there was a recall on my 2011...they have to reprogram the BCM or it will happen again. And again.

Usually when a compressor goes bad it sends dirty refrigerant and oil all around the system. I hope they replaced the filter/drier and did not reuse that burt 134a.

jimbumbee,

It's pleasing to read of the dealer visit you made as a result of this concerning situation. By all means, keep us posted on the continuing process and don't hesitate to let us know if additional assistance is needed.

Kind regards,

William R.

UPDATE ON AC......

Picked the 1LE up yesterday. they said it was all fixed with the 3rd new compressor, and they replaced the expansion valve also. Got 2 miles from the dealer, smoke comes thru the ac vents, smells like something burning and then a high pitched squeal for about 30 seconds. After all this, the ac is blowing hot air again. Turn around, go back to dealer. They take it right to the back. come back about 20 minutes later and tell me the compressor is gone. they call GM tecnical assistance, and GM tells them to also replace the condensor this time. They think there might be a blockage in the condensor. told the new car manager i wanted another 1LE, he said they would get this problem fixed.

Wow, I have bad luck too. My 2014 LT/RS which I own for only a month is having AC problems. My situation is that the fan or anything concerning AC doesn't turn or anything. The my link doesn't display fan speed, nothing. I have to park it for a few hours for it to work again. It's only a month old. Keep us updated.
