steering column leak...warranty???

So the first real.issue for me with my 2011 lt2 rs a6
Pulled it out of the garage to find a large..dessert dish...puddle of lubricating fluid under the front of my car. After narrowing it down..it's power steering fluid that is leaking from the junction of my steering column into the rack and pinion. It is leaking rapidly with quarter sized drops every 4-5 seconds until the engine is cold. I have used over a half bottle of power steering fluid today. I won't drive it until I take it to the shop Thursday am.

Question is this...will chevy cover this. I haven't hit any bumps or potholes and have just under 45k miles on it.

thanks in advance

The warranty is only 3/36 on steering parts unless you have an extended warranty.

I do have an extended warranty but it's through the Nissan dealership that I got the car...wonder if it'd be worth it or not to go to Nissan or just stay with chevy..

Most dealers take most warranty's. I would call the GM dealer an see if they except the warranty you have.

I realize how displeasing it can be when faced with a steering column concern like this firedruish, and though you're seeking thoughts and opinions, I would be happy to communicate this situation with the designated Customer Experience Manager at your preferred dealer if you feel an official diagnosis is necessary. Feel free to message us privately if you'd like to proceed, or discuss this situation further.
