Dealer changed my AC belt.. Questions..

Ok I don't want to make something out of nothing .. Just want to clarify something and get some opinions and facts.. Hopefully you guys can help me out before I say something.Or say nothing at all..

I brought my car in to get my AC belt replaced. it was off by a rib and making a horrible squeaking.. From what i have read on here, it has happened to some and there is a TSB out on it.. I have to say i was in and out of the Dealership in basically 2 hours.. I was charged 200. My 3 year/36000 B2B warranty expired last month to the day. I had asked if anything could be done and the only thing that was done was supposedly labor was brought down.. 1 Hr for 112.00 The AC Belt Kit was $71 and change. (i called up this morning to get a price on the exact part number and was told $68 and change from the same dealership)

My car is a 2011 SS with 19,300 miles on it.. Could this have been covered by the power train warranty or does this fall under the category of maintenance items.. Which I would normally think it would.. Just a question..

I have to say I have a ton of friends that go here and are well known by the service dept and The woman who helped me was very nice. I did not buy my car there and i know that there is no history of loyalty there.. I am a new customer though and I explained why I basically haven't been there since I bought my car. When I did puirchase my car new.. This dealership wasn't even built yet..

The dealership I originally bought my car from closed down and they had another dealership that's GM but not Chevy..(regardless they still service all GM) and most all customers got 300 credit.. So i have been going there to get oil changed etc.. Until the credit was used up.. The reason why i naturally just didn't go to that dealership is because it is pretty far away and the one I went to is literally in my town.

SO what do you guys think? If there really is a TSB ? Also where can I find a DEFINITIVE database for them.. Alldata? Also the Powertrain Warranty.. Where the hell can I find EXACTLY what is covered? Everything in the manual and stuff shows some stuff or this or that

thanks guys.. Long winded just want to make sure i wasn't screwed

After all of this i said Should have just bought the kit and did it myself lo... I always work on my own cars.. I just figured this is my baby and i want it done right etc..

Belts ain't covered on drivetrain warranty. If the belt keeps jumping grooves ,the pulleys are likely misaligned.

I figured they weren't .. the car has 19k miles on it and i never had previous issues with the belt walking .. Just a bad belt probably or one that lost its tension.. They are those new stretch fit belts etc.. I'll just chalk it up to that..

I don't know call me crazy i just maybe expected something unrealistic from the dealer. In trying to earn a new customers confidence.. They did nothing wrong .. Just thought they could work with me more being that the warranty was up by only a month..

What was in the "AC Belt Kit"? $70 seems a bit high for a belt.

GM OEM belts are not the cheapest things. These are the new stretchy style belts. The MSRP is around $50. Depending on the dealers pricing matrix that price can go up. Now I would question the labor, that seems a bit high.

Belt # 19208727. List price 68.40. Delivered to your door from Gmpartsdirect.com is $47.22

Try not to pay dealer list prices if you can help it. Same part, different price.
