Long tube headers installed!
So I took a chance... I already had the vararam cold air intake. I decided to get the obx long tube headers with catless mid pipes in order to save some money for a cam swap. The install was painless. I had no problems whatsoever with the fit of these headers. It took me about 4 hours with the help of 2 of my cousins taking pizza and beer beaks. We reused the stock bolts and gaskets.
I still need to get a tune but I want to get the tune the same time I do my cam swap. I built some rear o2 sensor extensions using spark plug non fouler and a fuel filters for a 70 model blazer. So far I've put 1500+ miles on the car with no check engine light! So far I'm happy very these headers ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Welcome to the OBX family brother!! Did you get the Tune or No-Tune version of the Vararam?

How did you make extensions using fuel filters? I understand the spark plug non-foulers. Any pics?

Looks interesting, may have to try that. I have just the non-foulers on mine and sometimes get CEL, but it goes away after a few run cycles. Thanks for the link, it may be what I need until I get tuned. Long tubes by far best bang for the buck!

Nice work , I have used steel wool inside the anti fouler's in the past . I like the old fuel filter mod even better . that should hold you over nicely until you get a tune .

Thanks! Yeah that's all I was looking for was to get me by until I can get a tune and cam swap at the same time. Looking to go with the night fury cam but still doing some research.
