I-Pod/phone integration problem - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys ive got a pretty annoying problem...

Im using the 1st gen iPhone and whenever i have it plugged into the car and playing music through the USB port it will play music for about 10-15min then it will lose the connectivity. I then have to unplug my iPhone and plug it back it. I originally thought it was the USB cord issue so i used the other cord I have but the problem continued. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

There have been many posts on iPhone issues and there is a PDIM firmware update - see this thread http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ht=iPod&page=4

I have a first gen iPhone as well but have not experienced your issue - I have lost connectivity after turning the car off and returning - needing to reboot to have the iPhone recognized again.

Try a search to see if others have the same issue.

i have had the same issue. i just unplug the phone and reconnect it. it seems like when i fast forward thru a couple of songs is when the iphone disconnects.

thanks guys i guess i just need to make one big playlist of everything i listen to and go to the dealer later

I had the same problem with my 60GB iPod classic. I got the update on the car and tried everything. I took my car to the dealer. Big waste of time. They kept my car for 3 days and fixed nothing. I know that the car manual states that you can use older iPods, but I tried my buddies newer iPod and had no problem. Found out that I needed to get a newer iPod.
