Question Any chance to get $10K off sticker on leftover '13 ZL1's?

What do you all think? There seems to be 0%/72 mos. until 6/2 but I would need to have the price around 50 to 51K to pull the trigger. I can find about 50 or so on a search, do you think any dealer would drop down 10K off MSRP? I plan on making some inquiries but just thought I'd see if anyone else has already succeeded in doing so or if its a pipe dream. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Try the Dallas Ft. Worth area. Those guys are a lot cheaper then here in West Texas the thing around here is that if you didn't buy it here at their dealer goodluck getting service for it. They will tell you to take it where you bought it if the problem is major.

There's one here with list of $60590 that they have advertised for $50,875 after rebates. That's $9715.00 off list.

Going with the 0%/72 mos. would negate the $3K in rebates. And yes I do plan on making some contacts I just didn't know if they would be so insulted thinking I'm lowballing them (which I may be) that I'd get the proverbial door slammed in my face.

Wondered if anyone else has gotten the 0%/72 mos. deal this month on a ZL1 and possibly what their negotiated price was (without trade-in).

In other words if a dealer has had a 2013 ZL1 on their floor plan now for over a year if they would maybe cut and run at 10K below MSRP AND 0%/72 mos. I know that is asking a lot and may be unattainable.

You really can't beat 0%, its free money, a NO interest loan.

To even out that $3K rebate on a 72 month loan I'd have to land a 1.9% or lower loan at 72 months on a near $50K loan with not much money down. I have an awesome credit rating but nobody is going to offer that low a rate at 72 months.

I'm looking in a certain payment range and have done the calculations figured in tax, title and license. I would literally need about $10K off MSRP and get the 0% for 72 months to be at the payment I would desire. (This is a straight buy as well, no trade)

JUST TO FOLLOW UP:

I see on the Chevy site, it is not only 0% for 72 mos. but ALSO $1000 bonus cash on top of that. That is vs. just $3000 cash back for the other deal on 2013's. So that makes only a $2K difference and that loan rate to come ahead for 72 months would have to be in the 1.5% or lower for 72 months to even out. I just don't see that happening, but thanks for the thought.

You have to look, I was offered 1.4% for 96 months with Navy Federal last week. The deals are out there but you have to do you homework to find the one you want. Don't rely on the dealership to give you your best deal.

When dealing with the sales don't mention additional customer loyalty of 1k til the very end so you get both the huge discount and the additional 1k discount then with an interest rate of less than 2% your payment will be lower and you can pay if off much quicker and you can use the cash back for your first mods!

Get an invoice. Take discounts off of the invoice price. I don't know why anyone still talks about sticker.

Generally dealers won't show you invoice price, they are by law required to show MSRP. Even if they show you their "invoice" price it probably actually isn't. Whether or not $10K off of a MSRP of $62K is above or below invoice is really my question here. I have a feeling it is far below actual dealer invoice. Only a dealer willing to cut their losses on a vehicle that has been sitting for 12 to 18 months on their lot running them up interest fees of their own is pretty much what I think I'm fishing for. I'm not sure it can be done. (But I want to try and time is running short: until 6/2 only about 3 more weeks.)

Yes I would do so. I pretty much go on "agreed upon price". This is the price I want to negotiate before ANY rebates, bonus cash, USAA rebate, GM card points, taxes, title and license or any DOC fees. Then I let them know I want to know the exact amount of each of those, down to the nickel. Then I can apply all the extras you mention. I've done some internet interest rate shopping and can't seem to find a 72 month loan with a rate less than 2%. Some offer lower but there are stipulations like joining a credit union or being a resident of some area or so on.

Basically I am wondering if I can negotiate an "agreed upon" price on a $61 or $62K MSRP ZL1 for $10K under at $51 or $52K. This is before all the things I mentioned above, NO discounts, rebates, dealer cash, etc. I think this might be a tall order as I have a feeling that a dealer cost on a $62K ZL1 is probably in the ballpark around $56 or $57K. Again I'm fishing for a dealer that just wants to cut their losses on one that has been sitting costing them interest for the last year to year and a half and doesn't feel like taking it to auction and taking a bath on it there.

My advice is to go with your numbers and let the chips fall where they may. All they can say is no.

If you're stubborn, they'll show you. Most financial institutions have some sort of buying program where you can get access to invoice pricing. I know USAA and Navy Federal Credit Union offer me this option.
