Service theft deterrent system on DIC

Has anyone else had this issue ?
When I tried starting the Car this evening, it just wouldn't start.Never had this issue before . Finally I managed to get it started after couple tries, but this message was displayed on the DIC.
Also the light corresponding to this was ON.
Car's got a canned tune from diablo sport, hence worried about taking it to the dealership.
If any one has had this issue or know about it please provide some info on it.Mainly I am hoping to avoid taking the car to the dealership for this issue.

It may not be related, but I had the same issue on a police package 2005 Chevy Impala. The "Security" light would flash and you'd have to wait ten minutes (time it next time) and then the car would start. It was the ignition switch and the Chevy dealer fixed it twice under warranty, but it started failing again around the time I was retiring, so I didn't care anymore.

Most likely a lose wire somewhere in the KARR system. Call up your dealer.

Saw the solution from the Cadillac forum , where someone had the same issue and the reason turned out to the accumulated grease and dirt on the key.Cleaned it up and tried starting again.the issue seems to be resolved , no more messages in DIC.

This happened to me once about 2 months ago. No problems since, as I toggled thru the menu all readings were o for voltage, tire pressure, coolant temp etc. After seeing your explanation I realized Sometimes I will scratch inside my ear with a key if I got a itch. Perhaps I did that and got some wax on it. Feel better know that I might have an explanation.
