Looks like they have noticed a problem. I think the average driver and passengers wouldn't notice the swaying. Just my opinion.

I wonder if it's possibly just marketing at it's finest. To get people to buy garbage they don't really need. Hmmmmmmm

To start, it is not a marketing ploy to sell you parts. Pedders developed rear cradle insert bushings for the G8 because there is a lateral movement of around 10 to 13mm of the entire rear cradle. I was involved in the first test fitting here in the USA, and without a doubt, you can feel the difference.

As many of you may be aware, Pedders was involved with GM Racing for some time on the Koni Series GS Camaro that Rileys Technologies is currently building. GM developed and designed the car, and Pedders supplied them a bunch of our bushings. I mention this because GM Racing scrapped the OE bushings for the rear cradle.

So for the occassional trip to grammas, and using the Camaro as a commuter vehicle, you do not need this update. But if you are serious about your handling, you will want to upgrade your rear cradle bushings.

Here are some pictures of our cradle bushings for the G8:

Interesting resemblance I might add. We have had these bushings out since early 2007,

Now if you go on their web site, under Camaro, and see the pdf, you will also note they make a statement that says they fit the G8. This is totally wrong. The Camaro subframe bushings are quite different than the G8 and are not at all interchangeable!

Pedders USA sent a complete rear cradle assembly to Au so they could do their thing with the bushings and such, and we test fitted them last week and all worked out perfectly. We have also elected to not only have a insert bushing, but to have a complete updated bushing assembly for the very serious drivers who are going to have hi hp for drag racing, and serious autocrossers and road racers.

thanks

I guess if it works for the Mustang's live axle, they figure the'll try to sell them for Camaro's link suspension.

We've got a solid sub-frame bushing that should be available in the next 3 weeks; it will replace the entire rubber unit. I will have video showing how much deflection is in that bushing. It's pretty amazing! Our design will make it attach in a similar way to the Corvette's.

Please feel free to call or email me anytime! Have a great weekend everyone!

Kind regards,
