HOW much for clear plastic?!?
Okay, so on the body (rocker panel) at the trailing edge of our doors is a small piece of clear plastic that protects this edge. (There's also a piece down underneath the rocker both behind the front wheel and in front of the rear wheel).
The one at the door edge had lifted a little on mine and had collected a good bit of dirt, and being yellow, it was fairly noticeable. So no problem, I just went ahead and removed it. Now months later I'm realizing what GM Engineers already knew... that without it, this hard edge takes a beating from little rocks, etc. that the front wheel picks up. Okay, no problem, I'll just replace them. Called my local dealer and I'm told they cost $55 EACH SIDE! It's literally just a tiny clear plastic sticker! Does anyone know the part number for this so I can confirm they're quoting me the right thing? (or has anyone else run into this issue)?

Get a small roll of xpel ultimate film or 3m from Amazon for cheap, trim to size and install yourself. You could try the spray-on paint protection film too but I haven't read good things about that stuff.
