Need help
OK guys I need some help with trying to figure out what's wrong with my camaro. Ok so the other day I notice that I had some liquid leaking from the bottom of the car. So I pulled in to the garage to inspect it and turns out I had a leak in the upper radiator hose. So I took it off and went to the dealership and got a new one. I replaced it and started it up. Well it almost didn't start and at first it sounded horrible. It sounded like my car was congested. Then after a few minutes it seemed to fix itself. However the stabilitrak warning came on . So I took it out for a drive and I notice that when I shift ( its M6) the RPMs seem to get stuck and it seems to take it a few seconds to lower the RPMS. It almost sounds like the transmission but I don't know. What do you guys think?

Did you disconnect something while fixing the hose & forgot to plug it back in?
Go back & check all the connections. Also make sure your fan is coming on. Give more details if possible. I assume you are out if warranty since you didn't take it to the dealer. |

Lots of details missing in the account of replacing the hose and refilling the radiator.

I took off my cold air intake tube so that I could get to the Upper radiator hose. I had to unhook the MAF connection so that I could take the tube off and then took off the hose and replaced it with the factory one I got from the dealer. I didn't take it to the dealer because it wasn't something that was that difficult to replace. Connected everything back including the MAF connection.

also I did check and the fan is coming on. I called a dealership and described the issue and the guy seemed to thing it was something to do with the throttle body after I reconnected my cold air intake tube . Not sure I agree with that but will check it out today after work.

Is this a V8 or V6?
Either way they both have electronically controlled throttles and if you moved the plate at all then sometimes they need to be calibrated with a scanner. I've cleaned mine before though and did not have a problem... But some cars cannot be moved manually without requiring some sort of calibration/reprogramming of the throttle. This is only if you moved it of course |
