any fisherman here? Landed a HUGE shark the other night

went out shark fishing and hooked into a nice spinner shark... check out the video of it nearly spooling our penn international 70vsw it was definitely a nice one for landbased fishing

we do all of our own butchering however i tag and release most of my sharks

WOWZA!!!


Do tons of freshwater and off shore fishing but never caught a shark anywhere near that BIG! Nice.

yep that one isnt even that big its just big for the type it is but we land 9 and 10 footers often

Awesome catch, I have had the pleasure of catching sharks, and they are always a rush. Like you, I have released every shark I have caught. If one ever takes a notion to take a bite out of me while scuba diving, I might change my mind about releasing them.

I caught this Monster of the Mississippi (a Flathead Catfish) back in 1989 at Rock Island Arsenal, IL... on 6 pound test and ultralight rod and reel. Believe it or not. I fought it for well over an hour. It weighed 47 lbs. 5 oz.
