Loaded with incentives - but no car to buy

Hi there,

I was really digging into the "Camaro" topic for around 3 weeks now. Have been in contact with more than 14 dealerships (probably around 20, taking a few mails into account and Becky from the forum), but still no luck.

In a few days the incentives and my 1000 Dollar private offer will be fading away…

I'm from west Detroit area, considered to travel up to Chicago area, have been in contact with dealers pretty far.

No one could get me a

- 2 LT with RS package
- convertible
- manual transmission (important)
- white car (or black, or red)
- black roof
- beige or blue or black leather (in that order..)
- NPP exhaust

Found one very far, fits EVERYTHING but has clown colors as interior colors included.. Orange leather in a black car. Putting new leather on the seats is another 1500 Dollar. I would kill half of my incentives then.. No way.

Someone has ANY hint how to get something before incentives are passed?

One interesting observation: NO single dealer in whole detroit area is willing to discount!!! They flawlessly accept all incentives, but no further discount!!

If one goes out of this area (around 150 miles), Chicago, Toledo etc., dealerships are WAYS more open to provide discounts on top of incentives…

Maan,.. what's wrong here in Detroit area…
