Well count me in the upgrade clan! (1lt/RS to 2SS/RS/Inferno Orange Interior!)
Been searching here and there since last summer for a deal I was comfortable with on a SS. I have test driven 8 SS's prior to today but couldn't get a deal on a car that I was comfortable/happy with. Also most SS's kinda felt sluggy on power. Ran into a lightly used 2010 2SS/RS with the Inferno Orange interior I wanted so bad on Autotrader and went down to take a look at it. They must of really wanted to sell it because they asked me to test drive it (some dealers wouldn't even let me test drive used ones).
The last one I test drove was a 2014 2SS/RS, same color and interior as I just bought but felt unimpressive on power and was out of my price range (well unless I wanted to sacrifice my Lightning but I wasn't comfortable with that at all). So glad I found a lightly used loaded 2SS/RS with the Inferno Orange interior I wanted so badly and got in a price range I was comfortable with to take the trade in hit. OMG I love this car! I just want to keep going back out and driving it! Yea Mr. Automatic preacher turned to the dark side! 6 Speed manual baby!  Oh and, initial MPG cruising around easy on the DIC is only 2.3MPG average less than my V6. I'll do more tests on my way to work with the Torque app and I can get a direct comparison on the same route/miles. Was also afraid of the manual tranny for stop and go traffic and traffic lights (but it's so much more fun, heh, like a lot of people say- you feel more connected.) Well, I ran into nearly dead stop bumper to bumper traffic on the way home while witnessing a near wreck from the car in front of me not paying attention on the wet road and hammering the brakes at the last second for the nearly stopped traffic going off the road 3 TIMES and the manual didn't bother me at all. Haven't had a manual since my 1987 F150 which was my first and last vehicle with a manual. I feel right at home in the Camaro- it shifts so easy! Inferno Orange interior to interiors is like the HIDs to the exterior is  I don't normally like leather, but I love the look of the reddish orange to deal with it, lol. Here it is.... Only 11,000 miles on it!  My old car and new one together:

For those wondering about insurance, it's only $20.54/month more, not too shabby...

sweet man! Nice car! I was just test driving some SS's this past Monday and it felt more powerful but didn't seem too drastic. But than again I had a sales rep and it was rush hour traffic so I couldn't open her up much. Love the interior, you're making me jealous! haha! That's awesome on the insurance though. I traded in a corolla and bought a Camaro and my insurance went DOWN $30. i only pay $105 :big grin:

I've had the same combo for 5 years now. Plus an auto with the sunroof. You will love yours especially the stares,
comments and thumbs ups you will get. You will see that nothing turns heads like a clean Summit White Camaro.
