Brake Dust
"OK" I'm Aware That Some Of You Have Switched To The Hawk Ceramic Pads - I'm Still Fighting The Dust From The Stock Pads - Was Wondering How People Felt Now After Switching Pads And If It Was Worth it - The Girls Are Always Complaining About Cleaning My Wheels - Car Will Never Be Tracked, Just Street Duty - What's Everyone's Thoughts That Made The Switch?

Armor All Wheel Protectant
I felt your pain with the crazy amount of brake dust our Camaro ZL1's produce, but I found a product really limits the dust that sticks on the wheels and makes the wheels super easy to clean.
The product is Armor All Wheel Protectant. See this YouTube video test of the product - you will be amazed. Once you apply the product to the wheels, you can literally just hose-off the wheels with water for about 3-4 weeks before you need to reapply it. The secret to the product is a silicone type chemical called "decamethylcyclopentasiloxane."

Absolutely love the Hawk pads. Almost no dust whatsoever. I decided to make the change when I put new wheels on and it was a GREAT decision.

And the ones that use the car for what it's made for, same question.

After cleaning the wheels, I spray on the original rain-x and wipe off with a microfiber towel. I've had better luck with this than the previous mentioned armor all product. |

I made the switch last summer with no regrets! When and if I need to replace the pads it will again be with Hawks Ceramic.

I think I'd be happy to watch the girls in that photo wash the rims.
Seriously though, I feel your pain. They get dirty fast and they are big. The two bucket wash has turned into the four bucket wash. First two for the rims. Reload and then wash the car. I don't want to downgrade the braking by changing the pads but it sure sucks washing all the time

Anyone have brake dust on the rear quarter panel due to excessive brake dust.I thought it was soot at first.

That was suppose to be my next purchase but I don't like something that squeals when you apply the brakes.
