Convertibles and snow

What do you guys do in the winter if you don't have a garage and it's snowing. Will snow piled up on the top hurt it?

Can't be good for it. I wouldn't let it, but that's just me. Maybe use a waterproof top cover? But the it should be able to breathe too. I don't know, sorry.

I just remove it as soon as I can, though I doubt it will hurt it in most cases. During high-snowfall storms, I carefully sweep it off each time I go out to shovel the driveway. My only concern is allowing a large amount of snow to sit there and go through melt-freeze cycles. I just feel like there would be a higher chance of leaking to occur. No evidence to prove that, just a gut feeling. The wear and tear on a non-garaged top is a bit accelerated over that for the garaged ones, but it is what it is. And it's just a car...

Mine sat out ll winter, we had several snowfalls in the 6-8 inch range and had no problems except when it melted condensation would build up on the windows and other surfaces. That is from the cold water draining into the water management bag and then the temperature inside the car warming up. What I started doing is when it started melting I would go out and clear the snow off the car and start it to led it dry out inside. I haven't seen any bad effects from that.
