First Drag Suspension Mods For A6....

So what's "needed" to improve the suspension at the dragstrip?

Looking for the first 2 or 3 "basic" suggestions.

Thank you!

I would recommend Pro-Version full cradle bushing replacements (BK024), rear upper control arm bushings (BK039), and trailing arms (TCA026 or TCA027) with the outer bushings (BK006). That's a good first jump into suspension mods, and will secure the rear cradle to provide a good stable platform for future additions.

I run toe rods, trailing arm bushings and a full slick. 1.471 short time. Now maybe I can improve upon that, but the car dead hooks.

I completely removed front sway bar, droped wieght and the car has more front end lift. It's very noticeable how much higher the front gets at the track, and I don't even notice it's gone on the street. Free mod!

Forget the suspension mods. The gain vs cost equation simply doesn't pan out. Spend your money on gd wheels and tires.

Removing the sway bar is not only a bad idea it makes for a unsafe car.Everyone has different ideas but when safety is involved I like to give my 2 cents.

I have my sway bar removed and have hit hard corners and can't even tell its off! I don't think it's a huge safety factor unless your are hitting a severely hard turn at high speeds! And technically doing that in itself isn't "safe"
So it's all relative.

Yes, we do make several different variations of differential bushings. They are a great mod for the high HP guys that need that increased rigidity of the rear end and see regular use at the track. However, until you reach that point, I would concentrate on other suspension mods as mentioned above, like trailing arms, cradle bushings, toe rods, etc. The diff bushings are great, but they well known to transmit NVH from the rear end. Some folks don't like it, especially if your car is primarily street-driven.
