2010 camaro ss

I have a 2010 camaro ss manual ls3. If i get it rolling should i be able to break tire loose by just flooring it? I dont want to i just want to make sure. When i take off on roll and gas it it kind of sluggish for second then takes off. I have long tube headers high flow cats borla atak cat back adm cai. I think has tune because of no check engine light and no 1-4 skip shift. Just want to make sure its right.
Thanks Tom

I have an auto and if I put my car in 1st, roll at about 15 mph and then floor it I'll spin through the rest of 1st gear and chirp 2nd gear with traction control ON. So I would assume a m6 could. As for sluggishness, get a ported throttle body, will make the throttle response better

That what i thought that if i mash it to floor in should want to break loose. Maybe ill just have to get tune looked at. I bought with all theae mods done already from dealership. Maybe they did something to tune ? And yes i was looking at ported throttle body also. I thought it was strange that it wouldnt break loose.

Change your rear gears to 3.91, I can spin the tires in 2nd gear. I can be going 20MPH and floor it in 2nd and the tires will spin until I let off of the gas. I've also had a tune done so I'm sure that helps also. The difference in the gear change was even better than I hoped it would be. I highly recommend it!

Since you don't know if it is tuned or not I would say try a fuse pull, couldn't hurt to try

You have a lot working against you with these cars as they were designed to put the factory power to the pavement and avoid lighting them up. 3.45 gears, independant rear suspension, 275/40's, traction control/stabilitrac. I have read that TC/stabilitrac will maintain properties even when shut off, but I'm not 100% sure about that. I have a 2011 2SS m6 and for me to get to where I can just punch it at resting idle and smoke the tires, I needed full exhaust, intake, cam, 4.10 gears and ported/modded throttle body, and obviously tune. I'm at about 450 rwhp now. I don't drag race, so I prefer smoking them tires too

I just traded my 1SS LS3 after 3 years of great memories. It would smoke the tires under the conditions outlined above and get scratch in second too. It didn't realize it was over weight and had wide hips.

In all fairness I ran General GMax AS tires in place of Pirelli sticky summer tires so lighting them up was less of a challenge.

I know you guys are focused on manual shift but I just wanted to chime in, even though I have an automatic. In the colder weather (40s-50s) I can get a little wheel action from a stand still, but this time of year... even with the nannies off I barely get any wheel spin. These P-Zeros stick like glue when the temps are above 65 or so. I don't particularly want to burn up my tires, so that's okay, but I do like to play every once in a while. And my car is no dog - she'll flat get up and go. Factory tires, nannies, gears = built to get the metal moving forward ASAP.

I have pretty much same mods as you and ever since the increase in power it always spins in 1st gear with traction control off. Any rpm any speed until second...and then it will spin some more. One time rolling on the interstate around 80 I mashed the gas down and broke loose. Traction control was off and I was driving him from the track on my DR. Just be careful when you floor it with no TC on. The 21's may hold all that back though.

Where are you in Florida? Wouldn't be a bad idea to find out who did your tune, if it is custom, in case you do more and want the person who has all the car info saved. That is if it is a FL car. If so, hopefully Phil did it.

This car was seriously jacked up with a piss poor tune. I saved it yesterday from certainly a failure.
