I called them and negotiated it down, also picked up a few other things.
Better than the current projected piece of $2500 plus per seat. |

No it didn't everything worked perfectly, even the heated seats.
I didn't quite pay that but this thread isn't about what I paid, it's about whether the seats will work for those of us thinking about installing them, and they do. My car is a 2010 2SS and the seats plugged right in to the factory plug and worked fine, no air bag lights or any other issues. This is the best one, hard to see with the car on the lift. Not too bad of a job, took about 45 minutes. Here's a quick step by step: Move the seal all the way forward and remove the 2 rear 50 Torx bolts. There's a lot of Loc Tite on them so take your time so you don't strip the head. On a couple of the bolts they started to get real tight about 1/3 of the way out as the Loc Tite bunched up on the threads. I just turned the bolt back in a couple of threads and then kept backing it out. I used a Craftsman 50 Torx, a 24" extension and a 1/2" ratchet with a 3/8" adapter. Once the bolts are out move the seat back on the tracks to about mid way. Also lean the seat slightly forward with the recline button to make it easier to get out of the car. Lean the whole seat forwards and reach underneath the remove the plug. The plug has a large locking slide the you need to pull towards the outside of the car on each side. It moves easily so don't use a lot of force, just slide it towards the outside and then remove the plug. The front of the seats are held by 4 hooks. Lift the rear of the seat and then rock it back while lifting the front at the same time. Make sure your head rest is all the way down. Put a large thick towel along the kick plate and tilt the top of the seat out towards you. Once the head rest has cleared the door way lift the seat out. Installation is the reverse, the only thing I'd recommend is taping the plug to the bottom of the seat so you don't damage it during the seat install. I had a productive day, besides the seats I also finished up the big brake conversion: I'll try to do a write up this evening. Last edited by YLWJKT; 06-23-2014 at 11:59 AM. |

When I put a set in my car I got the air bag light, tried a few different things, eventually had to switch out all of the guts from my old seat into the Recaro to get the light off.
