Stock rear/gear with 1500HP axles?

What is the life expectancy of the stock rear with just an upgraded set of axles? I dont spend much time at the track, but am pushing 800HP at the moment. Anyone have any experience with what the longevity to expect would be? Mostly hard downshifts from roll racing and minimal driving. Not a DD.

If your not doing any hard launching and don't let it wheel hop you might be ok. Your past the power level that a lot of guys have torn up the stock diff.

Understood. I definitely recognize that I am on borrowed time with what is in there now. Ive already had to replace the driveshaft bolts once because they were twisted up pretty bad. Ideally putting in a 9" conversion would be the way to go, but Im wondering if I can put it off until next season.

If I were to get the shafts through you guys for the stock rear, if I were to buy the 9" setup next year can I use the same axles?

The axles are not interchangable but you can trade them back in on the 9" kit. We give you 75% back from what you paid for them, that makes getting into our 9" kit a whole lot easier for existing customers.

Thanks
Chris

Excellent. Im going to kick around both ideas and see what Im going to do. Would hate to buy the axles and then grenade the rest and be forced to spend the money this year anyways.

The Dana 60 can be made to re-use the axles. its not as expensive as you may think
