Breaking In and Hit the Redline :(
Ive only had my car for a day I didn't read about the break in period until i got home. I have 150 miles already. I pushed it hard once with full throttle from 0-50 I think i red lined just beyond 7 or right at the line can't remember, I also drove past 4000 rpms a couple of times. Will the engine be okay for the next 1350 miles of proper break in or should i trade up haha jk but seriously I'm worried. Does it matter which grade of gas i use when breaking in also??
Thanks guys. |

You'll live.
The car will be fine. And go with the highest grade possible.

It will be fine. The redline is just a rev limiter that cuts fuel, just don't do it all the time

I did the same thing when my car was 35 miles out of the dealer... car was modified at 17th miles and always ran strong

It won't hurt it at all. Even if you did it everyday it probably wouldn't really "hurt" the engine.
