Guys PLEASE help!

Ok Im a big novice when it comes to cleaning and maintaining a black car but I've been doing everything I've been told to do, I rinse off every square inch, then wash it with a microfiber sponge, then hose it off again, then dry it with a shammy (I know I butchered that word lol) but Im starting to see little tiny micro swirl scratches. Is that just the way it ultimately goes with black cars or is there something I can do to prevent this because its breaking my heart seeing these damn things and if I can do somethng to stop it I would feel a helluva a lot better!

Yep, that is normal with a black car. However, you can minimize the swirls but making sure you use a 2 bucket system when washing the car. Rinse the washing sponge in clean water in the first bucket, and use the 2nd bucket for the soapy water. Maybe even 3 buckets if the car is really dirty and grimy. With a black car, you'll have to polish and wax more often than any other color. Invest in a Double Action polisher, several polishing pads, and your choice of quality swirl and scratch remove, polish, and wax. I have a blue car (not the Camaro) and it starts to show micro swirls and scratches after a few wipe downs. I bought the Adams Polishes pro detail kit and I am very happy with the results. Go to Adams Polished website, they have videos on how to detail a car, like removing swirls, polishing and waxing. Very informative.

Not only that, but anytime you wash a black car which a lot of dirt marks or grime on it, when you rub a sponge against it, it is going to create swirls. Try to wash it constantly, park away from trees during the day at work and in the garage at night. Would also use the 2 bucket idea too.

Wash it with a microfiber mitt, rinse completely, squeegy most of the water off, get a leaf blower to remove excess water, dry the rest carefully. I've got 4 black cars and have learned through the years what works best. I always dry in the shade.

Thanks so much for the help so will this Adams stuff remove the micro swirls or at least make it look better?

Yes, it's a lot of work to "clay" the car first-- but you can build up layers of polish -- and frankly? I've never seen cars look better than when they are Zaino'd --

You MUST talk to Moose. Ed knows his stuff and does the Zaino for his own SS and for other buddies.

Yeppers.

I had the 02 black SS and it was a pain in the ass to keep clean. For those swirl marks, I'd use meguires scratch x and my orbital buffer. Apply a small amount to the polishing cloth, buff it on w/ the buffer and let it sit to dry. Take it off w/ the ORBITAL buffer (so you don't leave swirls) and it should be pretty clean. Go over it with a polish and you'll see NO more swirls or scratches. I did this every once in a while with mine and it really helped.

Make sure...that when you are washing your car that if you drop that microfiber, CHUNK IT. Do NOT use it for that wash. Wash it in the washer and afterwards, FEEL it for stuff caught in the towel. I have about 50 or more towels up on a top shelf. Some are brand new...which are what I use for drying. Some are my wash towels. And some are my tire/wheel towels, etc.

Again, talk to Moose.

There's nothing like a shiny black SS, man....

Lucas Oil's "Slick Mist". Use with a new and freshly washed micro fiber rag. This product is awsome on glass too.

Ditch the chamois (shammy). What the other guys said, but after washing use the leaf blower, dry few remaining droplets with cotton towel (I know some are microfiber fans...), and above all, do whatever Sal Zaino says.
