Window tinting price

I am looking at getting my windows tinted. Back 3 limo, front 2 30%. Im calling around getting quotes near Roseville CA but everything seems to be in the $250 range which seems really high to me. Plus they want $60-$120 to remove the tint that is on there. Someone tell me I'm wrong but $350 out the door sounds like a lot?

Maybe I can remove whats on there myself?

Thanks for the help guys.

I was quoted $199 for the cheap 3 year warranty. They have different grades of tint -- I had 30% on the sides and 20% on the back (Texas has a max of 25% on the sides).

I got the ultra uv with lifetime product and labor -- paid $350 for that installed. In Texas, the uv ultra really works well!

So, the $250 is in the ballpark -- removal not sure -- never had to have that done...

$125 for the standard tint and $200 for the premium one (that I went with) at the local and popular tint shop. They commented that it was a little bit more difficult to do the back window on convertible (??).

That seems very reasonable maybe I'll wait till I'm back down in LA. More competition down there

Got mine done locally for 170, 35% front, 5% back. 3M, lifetime warranty. Then I removed my front tint myself(got cited) and he removed the glue for free, reapplied for $50.

I finally got it done yesterday. I paid $190 for 5% on the back 3, 20% on the front 2. The guy I used was AMAZING. He is a mobile guy from elk grove. Worked on my car for 4 hours yesterday is coming back today to redo a window he isn't happy with. I think it looks perfect but they insist on redoing the window. I was nervous to having someone work on my car but these guys care more than I do. Blew my mind. Sorry, I was just really impressed. But anyway seems like the going rate is about $200, which is what I paid.

I paid $219 for the back three 20% and the sides 35%.
Best quality 3M, applied perfectly about a week after I got the car in December of 2012. Went to Cal Coast Glass Tinting in Santa Barbara.
I plan on going back soon and getting the 35% taken off and 20% put on.
I should have just done that from the start. 20% all around looks best on our cars.
