I already have an SLP loudmouth I axelback which is basically a muffler delete. I recently got an xpipe that is very similar to the magnaflow tru-x crossover pipe. I cant tell the difference. I am going to delete the resonator and put the xpipe in. I am sort of aware of the AFM, can't people get used to it or get a range device. What should I expect?
Is it going to be noticeably louder? I'd like to be louder Deeper tone? Is it worth it to be installed?

It will be slightly louder. The more airflow you have the louder your exhaust will be.
It wont be crazy loud over the resonator, but will help with airflow. |

Yes it's a little louder, but more of a deeper, throaty sound than anything. I love it. I HIGHLY recommend the range device. Sounds like garbage when it drops to 4 cylinders. Can pick one up on here for < $150

The x-pipe helped mine with rasp. Didnt kill all of it but killed quite a bit of it. And to be honest with you I don't think the X pipe will make your setup louder. It evenly distributes the airflow better through the dual exhaust than the H pipe does. Because of this the exhuast sounds a little more mellow if that is the right word for it.
Before I got my X pipe I had the stock H pipe with a muffler delete. While my friend had X pipes with the muffler delete. Mine was louder and more aggressive sounding while his was more of a deeper growl |

so with an X pipe does it bolt on to your headers or does it require you get it welded on?

Depends on which one you get. The Magnaflow True X is welded on, as is their resonated version. A couple of the others can be bolted on.
