Just installed ARH headers and x-pipe kept stock mufflers - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

First I want to Thank Nick and the Guys at ARH for making an outstanding product as always. I had them on my 06 Vette and they were awesome as well. Car is much louder under WOT now and sounds very good, also 1/2 throttle up sounds good. However w/ the L99 I have when it shifts under WOT the shift is so long and lazy I get a nasty resonance from the rpm drop at each shift and also when the car kicks into 4cylinder mode. However I`m kinda picky...Lol.. I think a tune, cut off the AFM and tighten the shifts up it will be perfect. Gotta get my Vararam and low temp t-stat and then go get tuned asap after that. I don`t want to drive from hampton roads ,va to durham twice for the tune, or else I would do it now. The better news is it definetly feels stronger per the buttmeter...

The bad news, one of the guys in Oshawa crossthreaded my left front o2 at the factory...

Of course the only place to get one is at the factory and would take a week, bear in mind my car when I made this phone call was on my buddy`s lift in his garage. Well another friend had the bright idea to take a o2 laying around that was a 4 wire from a vette or older 4th gen fbod, pull the plugs off and repin the connector from my new damaged o2 onto the old o2. It worked!!! We even scanned it and it was fluctuating like the passsenger side, nocodes for front o2 yet!

If not for him, my car would have sat for a week, instead I got to enjoy the new sound and power!! Now to try and get the stealership to warranty it, I`m taking the pipe and the o2 to them and try and get the correct one just to be sure.

Thanks for the kind words,thats a great idea with the O2 I'll make sure to remember that for emergencies. Alot of the g8's had the cross threaded O2 also.

How's it connect to the stock exhaust considering it tapers down to 2.5" and the stock exhaust is 2.5".

Whipple Supercharger stock pulley, ARH 1 7/8 longtubes w/ catted xpipe, magnaflow 3" mufflers, ADM Race CAI, 3:70 gears, lightweight wheels and nitto drag radials. Stock internal L99, stock converter. Bolt on best before blower 12.22@113.29 w/ nothing but ARH headers, catted x-pipe, ADM CAI and a tune on stock Pzero`s!
